Again - for you. For me - it's very intersting and useful.

Dude, it's pretty strongly implied that when someone makes a post, they're stating their own opinion - that's why it's their post, under their username. Do you want people to start every single post with "in my opinion" when it's incredibly obvious they're stating their own opinion? If not, I don't think you need to continue going around and reminding everyone of this fact.

This was a very polite reminder, that what a thing is for a person may (and, usually, must) not be for other person. And as such - it has extremely little value. So, i wouldn't even recommend to express it in such way, as it's, essentially, useless. Thanks!

Right, but this is a political discussion forum, so when someone articulates their opinion, it's implied that that's their own opinion and someone else could (and probably would) disagree. So there is no need to provide a reminder. If anything has "extremely little value," it's not SevenEleven's original post, but your response.

I will mention ten:

• California — Nancy Pelosi
• Florida — Debbie Wasserman Schultz
• Illinois — Cheri Bustos
• Maryland — Steny Hoyer
• Massachusetts — Richard Neal
• Michigan — Elissa Slotkin
• New Jersey — Josh Grottheimer
• South Carolina — Jim Clyburn
• Texas — Henry Cuellar
• Virginia — Abigail Spanberger

with the exception of the first two - that reads like best.

No.

They are among the worst.

All of them.

Please get a life. Hating on Democrats who aren't even "moderate" in most senses of the word is dumb, but the fact that you prefer Republicans over them (as a progressive!) says a lot about your priorities.

Say what you will about Clyburn, but he’s far from the worst as he’s pretty good in constituent service and all that. Joe Wilson is up there with his “you lie” outburst, but if I had to pick one it’d be have to be Norman, all throughout his career he’s been unpopular, in the state house he was pretty alienated after he ran for speaker and got like five votes in the state house. He’s a bit of a perennial

This list takes into consideration both the House and the Senate, and only encompasses states where I have a somewhat defined opinion about a politician:

Alabama: A tie between Mo Brooks and Tommy Tuberville
Arkansas: Tom Cotton
Arizona: Paul Gosar, with honorable mentions to Andy Biggs, David Schweikert, and Debbie Lesko (so effectively the entire Republican delegation)
California: A four-way tie between Kevin McCarthy, Devin Nunes, Maxine Waters, and Nancy Pelosi
Colorado: Lauren Boebert
Connecticut: Chris Murphy
Florida: Matt Gaetz, with an honorable mention to Debbie Wasserman-Schultz
Georgia: Marjorie Taylor-Greene
Iowa: Joni Ernst
Illinois: Mary Miller
Kentucky: A tie between Mitch McConnell and Thomas Massie
Louisiana: Steve Scalise
Maryland: Andy Harris
Massachusetts: Elizabeth Warren
Michigan: Rashida Tlaib
Minnesota: Ilhan Omar
Missouri: Vicky Hartzler
Mississippi: Cindy Hyde-Smith
North Carolina: Madison Cawthorn, with an honorable mention to Thom Tillis
New Jersey: Jeff Van Drew
New York: A tie between Lee Zeldin and Elise Stefanik
Ohio: Jim Jordan
Oklahoma: Jim Inhofe
Pennsylvania: Scott Perry
South Carolina: Joe Wilson
Tennessee: A tie between Marsha Blackburn and Scott DesJarlais
Texas: A tie between Louie Gohmert and Sheila Jackson-Lee
Utah: Mike Lee
Wisconsin: Ron Johnson

Lmao. What is your ideology? I assume you claim to a "true leftist" / DSA / anti-establishment type. In which case, you're really outing yourself as a hidden right-winger by hating on establishment Dems more than actual right-wing Republicans.

If you're openly conservative / right-wing / whatever, this list makes a little more sense I guess though I'd wonder why you hate these people more than say AOC types

I've explained elsewhere my objections to Sheila-Jackson Lee, and I don't want to extensively relitigate that here. Let's just say that neither is the brightest bulb in the box. However, if I were forced to make a choice between the two, I would say Gohmert.

You actually listed two people I had neglected to mention (Chris Murphy and Elizabeth Warren). However, I'd disagree with some of your choices on this list. I'm not a fan of Ocasio-Cortez, but she does seem to be learning the ways of Washington, and she certainly isn't as objectionable as Zeldin or Stefanik, both of whom are staunch Trumpists and voted against his impeachment, and both of whom voted to overturn the election results. DeFazio seems like a generic Democrat, and he's been in office for more than thirty years.

Bill Pascrell, like DeFazio, is also a generic Democrat and has generally been a backbencher, aside from comments he made about the Squad. Marie Newman, while certainly not a favorite of mines, is surely less objectionable than Mary Miller, who is an ardent Trumpist and seems given to conspiracy theories. Finally, Cori Bush certainly has her problems, but is less objectionable than any of the Republican members of Missouri's delegation, especially people like Hartlzer and Smith.

Illinois: Marie Newman

Missouri: Cori Bush
New Jersey: Bill Pascrell
New York: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Oregon: Peter DeFazio

I included AOC, Cori Bush, and Marie Newman in my list because I generally dislike the Squad and the Justice Democrats. They are driving the Democratic Party further to the left, at the same time that the GOP is going further to the right, and all these "far" politicians -- far left and far right -- are leaving me with an increasing feeling that I'm not being represented in Congress.

Sure, Pascrell has long been a quiet backbencher, but for me that ended a few months ago when he came out with a proposal in which he argued that Speaker Pelosi should refuse to seat nearly two-thirds of the Republicans in the House because they signed on to an amicus brief in support of Texas's position in Texas v. Pennsylvania, challenging the presidential election results in four states. Pascrell argued that Section 3 of the 14th Amendment prohibits anyone from serving in Congress if they supported "rebellion" against the United States, and that trying to overturn election results in those states was "rebellion." That Texas lawsuit had its laws, and it deserved to lose on the merits of the arguments that were made, but since when is filing a lawsuit that challenges election results a "rebellion" against the United States? It was a ridiculous thing to say, and I'm glad Pelosi had the good sense to ignore it.

Peter DeFazio has always struck me as being overly partisan and too liberal for his district. He grew up in a family that always used the word "bastard" after the word "Republican." In his childhood, he heard the words together so often that he grew up thinking "Republicanbastard" was one word. His district, OR-4, is the most closely competitive district in Oregon, but he votes and takes positions that are way off to the left, without hardly any moderation. Representing a district as close as OR-4, he ought to be a Blue Dog moderate instead of Schrader. The fact that his last re-election was so close is an indication that his time in Congress may finally be over soon, because he isn't really a good fit for his district.

I just want to note that southern Oregon is a traditional labor stronghold and that DeFazio was seen as a perfect fit for his district up until relatively recently, as evidenced by his comfortable election victories, when it veered to the right with the emergence of Trump onto the political stage. In particular, DeFazio was known as a strong ally of loggers and mill workers.

The idea that "progressive" or "left-wing" politicians shouldn't represent working class congressional districts would have seemed baffling ten or fifteen years ago but it's now taken for granted as an easy assumption!

Exactly my feelings about "modern" US politics (except, obviously, i don't feel "not being represented", because i live in another country)......

As I said earlier, 'worst' implies more than just political views. MTG should be objectively unfit for public office by any reasonable metric. I would oppose removing her from Congress though.
