I'm perplexed by him honestly.

Maybe he's running for governor because his district will be drawn to be more Democratic.

Maybe with Cuomo and a huge red wave, but I still doubt it

He’d have better luck carpetbagging to a Republican-leaning district than a quixotic run for Governor.

He's probably retiring with a bang, while hoping for a miracle and a half, honestly.

He's only 41 so even retiring is odd. Although it is possible he thinks he's doomed in redistricting so here's a way to get visibility for a job with a Trumpist PAC or Fox News.

Well, he has a better chance in New York than in a Deep South state.

What is that supposed to mean?

It's easy to see why someone with not a whole lot of information would think the state could be in play, and Lee Zeldin is an exceptionally stupid person. I think yes.

He seems really arrogant so probably?  It usually takes a special kind of self-absorbed person to get into politics.  Obviously he has no chance.  He's not only a Republican he's a Trump hack.

If I lived in NY and was forced to vote between Cuomo or him, I'd vote for him.

Maybe if Cuomo still wins the nomination and both the Green Party and Working Families Party are running strong and serious candidates as well?

If and when Governor Cuomo announces he won't run for reelection for 2022, I expect Lee Zeldin will drop out of the governor's race.

Zeldin carries Suffolk, maybe Nassau and others, but he won't win
