If and until the GM provides further input, at present we should in theory only be providing arms to the UAE if they satisfy the criteria set out in the Arsenal of Democracy Act. I strongly suspect the UAE has not met that standard and therefore should not be receiving any arms from us at the moment, but other confirmation is always welcome.

Also, the UAE is not explicitly blacklisted in that law, so they could hypothetically be receiving arms through some sort of loophole. So the SOS should definitely clarify.

Does the F-35 program exist?  If so, could we hypothetically include the UAE and Saudis, but provide no training?

I'm interested to see if they'll be able to fly them without training or not.

What is the purpose of supplying fighter jets to countries without training people how to use them?
