Generally speaking, it's not the brightest of ideas to allow corrupt and demagogic former Presidents to return to power via proxy (see: Argentina), so Lasso.

I don't think Alberto Fernández is the Cristina's proxy, but I'm not a fan of Correa either. On the other hand I could vote for a moderate conservative under certain circumstances, but never endorse a supernumerary of the Opus Dei who admires former Spanish PM José María Aznar

Yaku Pérez proved to be a joke, but it's not a bad idea

Arauz should have won, but I'm not broken up about his defeat.

Why?
Is there any reason to think Lasso would not be better for Ecuador's indigenous people, given Correa's record?

The Peruvian candidate?

Not a fan. Apparently has had some decent ideas - he was apparently responsible for weakening Shining Path through a number of economic measures -, but the combination of being a Fujimori advisor, a firm supporter of the family until very recently, or the vaccine tourism all combine in a fairly clear HP. The depressing thing, however, is that in spite of all that he was still one of the "better" options, at least compared to López Aliaga (Bolsonaro 2: Electric Boogaloo) or Keiko Fujimori herself.
