This was one of several surprises of this decade’s census. Others included FL & TX gaining fewer seats than expected, as well as RI keeping its entire existing congressional delegation.

There were significant minority undercounts for the census in TX and FL, and the true population there is certainly higher.    Amazing irony for the Republicans if future elections this decade turn on this action that Trump engineered.

20   Colorado   5,893,630
21   Wisconsin   5,852,490
22   Minnesota   5,706,400

All three, for Elections 2024 and 2028, will be allocated with 10 electoral votes. Colorado is the one which increased. South Carolina, ranked No. 23, has around 500,000 less people than No. 22-ranked Minnesota.
