Basketball legend LeBron James retires from sports in 2025 and continues his mission of educating America's children and social justice activism into a 2028 Democratic presidential bid; James sweeps the primaries to face off against incumbent President Ron DeSantis in what is expected to be an epic election of the ages....

Who wins? Does James win his home state of Ohio?

James does really well in Summit OH (maybe 10 points above Biden's win) and maybe a little in Cuyahoga, but not enough to win a by-now truly red Ohio against a reasonably popular incumbent. Meanwhile in the actual swing states, I think DeSantis has a good shot at winning white moderates against a challenger running on social justice.

You don't think James would win the white millennial voters who would be in their 40s and 50s by then?

No millennials 50+ until 2030, and even so my cohort is much more liberal and won't be 50+ until 2040.
