I know a taco has a hard shell, but many Europeans don't, hence I'm trying to see if it's a real taco (like I said, in France they market burritos as "tacos")

Real tacos use soft corn tortillas, not hard shells.

Already sounds better lol, I don't like the hard shells.

I can still confirm that it's the burritos below that are sold as "tacos" here lol

That's extremely concerning. I have no idea what you've been eating, but I assure you it isn't Mexican.

What's concerning? It's just people don't know Mexican culture that well here.

Our "ethnic" fastfood tends to more be arab/turkish (makes sense as they're our closest non-European neighbours)

That people would have the audacity to mislabel Mexican food? Idk, I'm being slightly sarcastic.

And I'm sure your Middle Eastern fast food is fantastic.

It can be real hit or miss.

Real Middle Eastern cuisine is great. The "kebab" styled fast food is hit or miss (I usually get chicken sandwiches instead lol)

I LOVE hard tacos. When they're soggy on the bottom... mmm.

There is absolutely nothing about a hard shell that removes this dish from Taco Hood status. and I say this as someone whose preferences for burritos anyway.
