I find the idea of increasing speed limits interesting but it should not be done by building new highways but rather by just having the Lincoln DoT revise speed limits and increase them wherever it is safe.

In fact if conditions are good enough Lincoln could even try to pull off sections like those from the German Autobahn, with no speed limits

Honestly after reading all of  this I am borderline convinced the bill is irredeemable. If someone with local knowledge wants there is probably a way to turn this into a half decent bill by chaning toll roads into something else, but S019's proposal would be completely unacceptable imo

If I get elected I look forward to upholding the governor's veto. This was a poorly thought proposal all along. I am not against highway improvements but I can't think of many ways to do highway improvement in a worse manner than this.
