How have so many Americans had their first shot? I wouldn't have thought that most of you would've been eligible.

Many people on Atlas are either not at all in good shape, or they are essential workers. We also have a few olds.

There are lots of other loopholes and special dispensations too.  E.g., in some places you can get a shot if you volunteer at the place giving the shots.  And then my Mom got her vaccination because she works for a health care company....even though she works as an accountant rather than as a front line worker.

As of Monday every member of my immediate family has received at least one dose of the vaccine. My middle brother got it Monday.

My youngest brother still wouldn't be eligible in Minnesota (where he's still located) but has received two doses already because he works as an HVAC tech at a tribal casino...thus qualifying him to receive it from the tribe which manages their own distribution.

I wonder if Our Dear Friend got his vaccine from a tribe since he is 1/32nd American Indian

I've had one shot of Pfizer.  Someone should re-do this poll today, and break it down by country (or at least, US vs. non-US).  Seems like nearly everyone I talk to has had at least one shot now, though I realize there are plenty who haven't.
