I pre-registered for an appointment today, but it won't be scheduled until eligibility opens on April 27.

Well i seem to have side effects from Moderna's first dose. I developed a fever for the first time in 4-5 years, because fevers happen very rarely for me. I wasn't expecting this.

Yes the sore arm is also true... Didn't had to wait until tomorrow.

Can't believe that vaccinations is the one thing that America does right.

I pre-registered, but given I am part of the 'general public', and still relatively young and healthy, it will likely be some months before I get at least my first vaccine.

In Virginia at least, April 18 is the earliest the general public will be eligible to make appointments.  So I have marked my calendar....

No option of "not yet but will when available".

I don't know in Australia when we are getting vaccinated, but I hope it is before our winter months in June-July, or Melbourne and Tasmania will flare up again (relatively).

I can see this a mile away, the vaccination program will get delayed because the Government are managing it.

The eligibility schedule in this state got significantly pushed forwards, and now I'm scheduled for Pfizer part one on Saturday.

I got my second shot the other day and I have to say I'm pretty grateful that my side effects were quite mild. I woke up with a sore arm and later in the day had some aches/discomfort but other than that, I feel great. The process was also much smoother. I went to a mass vaccination site located in our mall here in Lancaster and the first time was crowded and slow, but granted that was quite early in the process. The 2nd shot was literally in and out in about 30 minutes (including the 15 minutes they made me sit and wait after the shot just in case I had any negative reactions.)

I’m getting vaccinated as late as possible (September/October), before the start of the new „season“, so that immunity will last longer than if I were doing it now.

Better if the olds go first. Don’t want to take away their vaccines.

Young, healthy people getting vaxxed now are selfish.

I got the J&J vaccine days before the federal govt asked for a pause on it and ended up getting a 102+ fever for a couple days, ongoing heart palpitations and a 4-day long headache, arguably the worst headache I've ever had the day after.

I don't know anyone else personally who got worse side effects but then again everyone else I know got Pfizer or Moderna.

Only if you don't live in the US, UK, or Israel. I'm sure there other countries that have thoroughly vaccinated their olds too, but I don't know them off-hand.

Keep a close eye on any possible symptoms and don't hesitate to call or go to the doctor if you need to. Basically, keep an eye on anything out of the ordinary for the first three weeks of having had the shot.

Yes, but even in the UK there are basically no healthy people in their 20s or 30s who have been vaccinated, although we’ve vaccinated a higher percentage of our population than the US. Compared to the US, we’ve prioritised getting it too as many old and clinically vulnerable people as possible first.
