There are always going to be easily offended people making a stink about things; 24/7 news media, the internet, cynical politicians looking for their vote and hyperpolarization just amplify their voices.


Ackyshually, that was an environmentalist issue, not a culture war one, and a perfect example of how legitimate causes can be discredited with associating with crazy.
