I am a proud Labor capitalist, the plank in question has been hotly debated for a year now and is still opposed by a good chunk of party membership, so I'm unsure if this is some attempt to score points or something, also I believe Fremont does not have 99% tax rates since they abolished triple taxation, and consolidated spending. Also if you're going to bring up that plank, I can just as easily bring up the fact that Tony Blair's Clause IV is in the platform, never mind that Blair himself was a socialist too. Even before Tony Blair removed Clause IV, Labour has probably only ever had two truly leftist leaders pre-Blair, Clement Attlee and Micheal Foot, I'm pretty sure that the Labor of Atlasia is nowhere near these two, in fact being near the right flank of New Labour, such as Gordon Brown might be a better comparison. It's almost like the platform doesn't actually mean anything, who else remembers when Puerto Rico statehood was in the Republican platform and they never did anything about it. This is a really weak attack and its clearly meant to scaremonger, and anyways if Atlasia implements socialist policies with the current electorate, I think a right wing candidate would easily win the next election and implement a policy of quasi-Thatcherism. The demand for Keynesianism, to the extent required to create a socialist state, simply doesn't exist, of course the demand for neoliberalism isn't that strong either, right now.

Correct, it’s much further left

Lol no, Michael Foot wrote a manifesto so left that it got nicknamed "The Longest Suicide Note in History."
