One thing that was sort of over looked to a degree in the 2020 Presidential Election was the strength the Democratic Party seems to be gaining little by kittle each time we have a Presidential election.
Americans West which includes the Rocky Mountain States and then of course the States on the West Coast and then you have Hawaii and Alaska. 20 YEARS AGO it was normal or no big surprise to see Democratic candidates ie: Gore and Kerry to win California, Washington, Oregon and Hawaii. However those states were more in the "Lean Democrat" column especially Washington and Oregon as I remember Senator Cantwell defeating incumbent Senator Gorton by only 2,000 votes in Washington. Boy things have changed a lot since those days! Even in California Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein were held to the mid and upper 50's in the first couple of elections. What the Democrats seemed to accomplish albeit slowly over the next 16 to 20 years was almost add a state or focus on a state each election cycle but bit the WHOLE ENCHILADA! They added Colorado and New Mexico in 2008 and Nevada  pretty much stayed Democrats turf in 2012 and 2016 with the Fast growing area of Las Vegas taking off like a rocket! Then after Senator McCain Past away, may he RIP, 2018 catapulted a fresh face in Senator Kirsten Synema in Arizona and 2020 Biden/Harris were able to flip it to the Blue Team! now coming off a 2020 election win for Biden/Harris and them winning all of the regular strongholds of CA, HI, WA, OR but now those states give Dems numbers more in the low and mid 60's. I remember Kamala Harris was elected with more votes in California in 2016 than anyone who had ever run statewide! She took 69% of the vote and Hawaii gave Biden/Harris almost 64%in 2020 with Washington and Oregon just a couple of points behind. In Colorado Democrats ran very strong as well as New Mexico. All Democrats had to do was run a lot of ads and make several campaign stops in Arizona and Nevada which they did and also capitalize on the great friendship between Joe Biden and John McCain as well as the arrogant attitude Trump demonstrated towards the McCain family and it was all but over for him to have a chance to win in Arizona again, it just wasn't in the cards for the GOP this time, also the recruitment of a strong candidate in Mark Kelly really played a key role in Arizona not having just one but two United States Senators from the Grand Canyon State! My personal opinion is that this may give Democrats a strong edge in America's West over the next 2 maybe even 3 election cycles. What d you think happened was it simply just influx of new Hispanic voters? Or something else? I appreciate your comments and opinions, thanks so much!

1. Try separating your sentence into paragraphs, instead of one big wall of text
2. Use proper punctuation, capitalization, and spelling
3. Split your run-ons into multiple sentences
4. You're using unnecessary words and phrases that make it hard for me to read why you're trying to say

Yes, the West is becoming a new Democratic stronghold. It is a very educated region and has a massive Hispanic population. An underrated aspect of the West becoming more Democratic is not just AZ flipping, but the weakening of GOP margins in Utah, Montana, Idaho, and the intensification of margins in CA, OR, WA, and CO. Welcome to the forum! Ignore the posts about your wall of text, something better is deserved for a first post.

Welcome to the forum! Edited for readability.

Re: the Latino vote- this post is more proof that raw vote numbers matter more to the public than percentage margins. Latinos generally swung towards Trump outside of the Pacific NW (and the Los Angeles/Santa Clara results look pretty brutal on a swing map), but CA Latinos were still a big part of Biden's 5 million vote lead over Trump in the state.

The 2018 midterm was looking mediocre for Democrats until the Senate results in AZ, NV and the California House pickups came in.

Democrats have been gaining ground in the Western states for a while as it was, Trump then set off a nuke that decimated the GOP even more in said areas. He always was weaker out west then in the Eastern states.
