Who would have been the GOP nominee in 2004? I think it would be pretty unlikely that Gore could have gotten re-elected, as no party has won four consecutive elections since FDR in 1944. Who could this Republican have been? Would Dubya go for a second try? Would John McCain try again after his 2000 defeat? Would Jeb! try to one-up his big bro? Maybe some other governor like Tommy Thompson? Discuss!
