It isn't. It's imperative that the people who rely on Democratic administrations to avoid/mitigate destitution are given more long-term institutional power.

Unions are less endangered in MT with its GOP trifecta than VA with its Democratic one. Elections provide real input into the political process but are only one part amongst many, and the most influential legislators have understood the need to spend as well as accrue their political capital.
