Or do you think he will more likely be forced to resign before then?

Yes but under intense scrutiny and leaving office with one of the lowest approval ratings in New York governors history.

Yes. He'll avoid talking about it, and then the media will move on to other things.

He definitely shouldn't but that doesn't mean anything; there's still a high chance he does.

If no additional shoes drop, perhaps.

If more shoes drop, perhaps not.

He reminds me of Donald Trump. He should be already impeached, convicted and removed from office, but he will never be removed

I hope not. If Democrats live up to their own standards, he needs to go. Actually already, but at latest when Tish James finishes her investigation, which is expected to be no good for Cuomo.

Yes, he will obviously be primaried next yr, but the primary opponent has to wait for the investigation to be finished in order to mount a successful challenge

Just doing the Ralph Northam play now. Unfortunately for Cuomo, New York has many suitable replacements for the current governor unlike VA

Quinnipiac Poll: Most New Yorkers don’t want Cuomo to resign

Quote
ALBANY, N.Y. — A majority of New Yorkers do not want Gov. Andrew Cuomo to resign as he faces dual scandals over allegations of sexual harassment and claims he hid the number of deaths of nursing home residents, according to a poll released Thursday.

The Quinnipiac Poll, which showed Cuomo’s numbers on the lower side and found that most residents are opposed to him seeking a fourth term, was far from disastrous for an increasingly embattled governor.

Forty percent of voters said he should resign, while 55 percent said he should not. Most Democrats are sticking with him: Only 21 percent are saying he should leave office.

The governor said on Wednesday that he will not quit.

It seems much of the political pressure on him will dissipate once he does an LBJ and announces that 'I do not believe that I should devote an hour or a day of my time to any personal partisan causes or to any duties other than the awesome duties of this office (...).

Accordingly, I shall not seek, and I will not accept, the nomination of my party for another term'
as governor of New York.

Just please don't give that speech on a Saturday...

Yes, but I think after the WSJ article a few minutes ago, he'll soon announce that he won't run for re-election.

I don't think he beats Zeldin, Dean, or whoever the GOP nominates at this point.

The most similar political figure to him lost reelection but refused to recognize the results and encouraged his supporters to storm the capital, so I imagine the Cuomo story arc will end similarly

Heh.

In all seriousness both Speaker Heastie and Senate Majority Leader Stewart-Cousins are now calling for his resignation. It's now obvious how this story ends.

Not at this point, a week ago, I would've said yes, but thought he retired in 2022, with both legislative leaders issuing strong statements against him, I don't think he'll survive

Andrew Cuomo should hang in.

Then in 2022, after he is re-nominated for a fourth possible term (with the blessing of the corrupt Democratic Party Establishment), he can experience the same fate as his father Mario from 1994.

Unfortunately. Clearly I had far too much faith in our political system. You'd think the last four years would have taught me that, but I guess not.

Cuomo is the 2021 Reincarnation of everyone's favorite Illinois Governor, Rod Blagojevich.

Cuomo's new upbeat attitude could mean 3 things IMO

1) he doesn't think that he will be impeached and removed because he has enough supporters in the state senate
2) his ego is so big that he has convinced himself that he will be acquitted in the state senate
3) he thinks he has threatened/blackmailed/bribed enough state senators to be acquitted

What makes you think one and three are true?  I think only two is.
