I know the conventional wisdom is that Democrats would never have a ticket with two white guys in this day and age. However I think that given Cuomo had some brief national celebrity for his handling of COVID they may have made an exception. It would have been a disaster though of course if all of these allegations started coming out during the campaign.

No because even if Biden hadn't pledged to pick a female VP in advance I'm fairly confident he would've done so anyway.

Doubtful. I think he would have picked Cory Booker.

Cuomo already stated that he would never be a candidate for natl office, we now know why, he cheated on Kerry Kennedy whom had children by and sexual harassed females, or cheated on her, that's why his kids are never seen in public, he doesn't want people to know he is a Kennedy unlike Arnie Scharzenegger, who proudly proclaims he is a Kennedy due to Maria Shriver

Even if the sexual harassment and nursing home scandals had not occurred this would have been a bad choice.  Sanders/Warren supporters would have complained loudly Cuomo was evidence Biden was selling out to corporate interests and they would probably have been right.  AOC might have even declined to endorse her home state governor for the ticket.  And given Biden's shaky standing with the hard left, this would have been a tone-deaf pick which would spark a circular firing squad.

If Biden was going to pick a (younger) white man it would have to be someone who was not so hated by progressives.  Possibly Chris Murphy or Martin Heinrich.

It's possible he could've been on the shortlist, but I doubt he'd end up choosing him.
