In a timeline where Trump moved to Florida earlier and since he had a friendship or at least was on good terms with former Governor Charlie Crist, could Trump had run for the GOP nominee for governor and won (assuming he was a Republican). He narrowly won Florida in 2016 and won by a bigger margin in 2020, but 2010 was a Republican-friendly state and Florida has been a bellwether for a while. Do you think he would've done better or worse than Rick Scott and Rubio in 2010 and how well would he have done in 2014?

2010 Trump probably would be likelier to run as a Democrat.

Donald Trump switched parties on June 4, 2008 (the day after Obama clinched the Democratic nomination), so no.
