For the record, my amendment has nothing to do with the bottom of Lake Michigan. We simply celebrate at Lake Michigan, which should be open to many people.

My (very reasonable IMO) concern is then that the shoreline of Lake Michigan is split between multiple states and we should perhaps clarify in the amendment which states should have jurisdiction over the festivities (and if we are sidestepping that by delegating the region at large, that is theoretically fine too).

I think it can just be that it is traditional to celebrate at whichever part of Lake Michigan is closest to you (if you are the type of person who wishes to go to the Holy Land to celebrate). Which for most people would just be in Chicago anyway. I don't think we need to be very specific with this.

If someone only had a brief stay in Atlasia more than a decade ago I don't understand the reason for a holiday in the make of this person.

I do seem to vaguely recall his being registered.

Indeed he is.

I will vote Aye as I have no philosophical objections to the spirit of the amendment. But expect a clarifying amendment from me once this passes (or fails, or whatever).

Amendment offered:

Section 2:
4. Annual festivities to honor Olawakandi will take place in the form of Sunbelt Celebrations, taking place in Los Angeles, Fremont and Lake Michigan, Lincoln.

Very sad this isn't pertaining to the Sun Belt conference, noted for its horrible football teams

The amendment has enough votes to pass, 24 hours to change votes.

A vote is now open on the following amendment. I'm objecting because I feel the ambiguity of the original clause is fitting for such a festival.

Nay. The ambiguity is important as all followers of our Lord must be able to celebrate wherever in Lake Michigan they want.

If OC says he lives in Lake Michigan he lives there.

No part of my amendment contradicts that.

Unnecessary. The original wording clearly means the same exact thing as this expanded version. Nay
