Where's the first great prime-time TV, made-for-adults parody of American life in this poll? Of course, I mean The Flintstones. It was unequaled and unparalleled until The Simpsons.

The first five seasons of South Park might be the best TV comedy of all time period. They've had scattered episodes reach those height again since, but less so over time and it's been pretty unwatchable lately.
