Then either someone who supported segregation (but instead of a white supremacist component, a black supremacist one) or someone who was anti-war and thought Wallace was the best best.

Probably someone who wanted African Americans to secede from the Union. They probably voted Wallace because he would be the most open to that, though for completely opposite reasoning.

American Nazi Party founder George Lincoln Rockwell actually cultivated relationships with black nationalists and got along well with them since they shared the goal of racial segregation. Wouldn’t surprise me if there were a handful of black nationalists end up voting for Wallace in a similar weird partnership in kind.
