Ironically, FL stays red while TX and possibly OH flip blue.

The 383 map likely occurs and the Democrats do a lot better in the House of Representatives, but still initially lose the Senate due to lackluster candidates such as Cal Cunningham, Sara Gideon, Theresa Greenfield, and Steve Bullock (to some extent).
What is the 383 map? I keep playing around on the electoral calculator but I cant figure it out
Basically all of Joe Biden’s 2020 states+North Carolina, Texas, Ohio, and Iowa.
That's 412 EVs, not 383. 383 is Biden states+NC+FL+TX

It would definitely harm Trump and the GOP even more among educated suburbanites especially. But still, maybe only North Carolina flips in both the House and Senate. That's probably the only major difference that would have been possible. Maybe Ossoff also wins outright. However, Biden performs much better in the major swing states and wins the popular vote by 6 points or so perhaps. Also the House races go much better for the Democrats.

However, this is a hypothetical that is impossible because the insurrection was a product of the election's result entirely. The closest thing we actually to it was the Gretchen Whitmer/Mike DeWine foiled kidnapping plots and those were barely a blip on the radar by the time of election day, as shocking as they should have been.

He is not counting FL. 412 - 29 = 383

I think it would've been reflected most in the House. Democrats would probably gain seats.

Lol how would Insurrection have been in Oct, and Trump didn't lose yet. What a topic, some users just post topics.

Hot take: Nothing changes. Maybe North Carolina flips, but that's it.

I agree that nothing would change, but the polls would have been even more tilted towards Biden, so Trump's overperformance would be an even bigger shock to everyone.

Since it was inconceivable to the Trumpists that they could lose, why would they have an insurrection before their triumphant victory.

The idea is what would happen if Trump supporters stormed congress in Oct. It would have to be for a different reason but the events of Jan 6 shows anything is possible. Perhaps a Trump election rally that gets out of hand?
