I wish Herr Cobain had been capable of making music a tenth as good as the music that he liked (everyone should have a good look at his top 50 albums), and I find them horrifically overrated for what they are, but hate is more than a bit strong. Overwhelming ambivalence is more like it.

I like them! Even though i'm not a huge fan of rock music. But some music I liked is considered to be rock, it's just not associated with it.

This is a series based on a finding of what the most hated bands are. I'll do a more hated band next, or at least wait for a while.

A bit overrated but no I don't hate them/I like them. No doubt wouldn't have the same legendary reputation today if Kurt had lived especially since they'd have probably put out a bunch of sh!tty records later.

I don’t hate them, but I would rather listen to the first 20 seconds of “1979” on loop for three hours than listen to Nirvana’s discography.

Never was a big fan of theirs, but I respect their place in music history.

My possibly controversial opinion is that I'm a much bigger fan of Dave Grohl's next band than I ever was of Nirvana.

I love them, but not as much as Pearl Jam. I think Kurt Cobain was capable of doing a lot more amazing stuff musically had he not been murdered by his raving loony bitch wife tragically passed away.

My mom likes to listen to a normie podcast called The Bobby Bones Show, basically some country music DJ from Nashville chatting with his buddies for an hour and a half about fairly generic topics, while very normie and inoffensive I suppose it's OK for what it is, could be a lot worse. Anyway I had to listen to it this weekend while driving to Minneapolis and back, and one topic he touched on was the five most hated bands according to a survey. They were:

1-Nickelback
2-Limp Bizkit
3-Creed
4-U2
5-Mumford and Sons

The last one shocked me because I've never heard them be very hated (in fact the guy's guess before them, Coldplay would be more fitting.) U2 was also kind of explained as due to Apple's stunt a couple years ago where they gave away their new album for free on iTunes, which is a cool idea on paper, but since this automatically downloaded for any with an iTunes account or iPhone, it came across as more shoving it on people who didn't want it, and resulted in some backlash.

Actually I think Imagine Dragons would be a more logical #5.

I didn't do one on Nickelback. I just mentioned them.

I actually like Nirvana probably one of the better bands. I’m not a rock guy tho. I’m more of a rap guy.
