A more moderate Tucker Carlson would do well against a more leftist Bernie Sanders.

A nailbiter of an election between an old-school conservative Democrat and a "moderate paleoconservative" The map is reminiscent of the 2000s as suburban voters turn towards the Republican ticket but working class voters swing back to the Democrat.  The heavily hyped independent Michael Bloomberg/Scott Rigell moderate ticket turns out to be a dud.

Beaver and Christian Man's political matrix scores are close, so this election would be a nail biter. Christian Man focuses heavily on the Rust Belt, and being from MA he performs strongly for a Republican in New England. Beaver focuses more on the New South and takes North Carolina, and only loses Florida by 1% and Texas by 3%. The electoral college deadlocks, with each candidate getting 269 votes. Nevada is the closest Democratic win, and Michigan is the closest Republican win.

I want this thread to continue, but the candidates are just so similar that I have no idea what to do. I tried. Tongue

Greg does exceptionally well in New England, NY, NJ, and the Pacific Coast for an R but Goldwater does extremely well in GA and NC suburbs as well as in AZ. Goldwater hangs on to PA by 1.1% as Greg wins WI by 1.0% and MI and FL by <1%. FL is closer than expected but Greg carries the state by 0.4% as Goldwater does well in suburbs but Greg gains a bit in cities and carries rural areas strongly.

The election is decided on economic issues, and even then it's pretty low stakes. Sun Belt libertarianism versus a more 2008 sort of Rust Belt populism, but neither is a super fiery campaign.

Both candidates have a broadly moderate image and sell well to the electorate. In the end, the social liberalism of Anarcho-Statism and the social conservativism of WestMidlander becomes the defining split in an election. At the same time, WestMidlander is palatable to the mushy middle while still doing well in the South, almost taking Virginia and winning typically close North Carolina by 8% partially due to a home state bonus, while Anarcho-Statism does well in the West (where he does quite well in California). The Midwest is also good for WestMidlander, further helping him. The election is decided in Pennsylvania and Maine's at-large, where WestMidlander's economic moderation enables him to win both states narrowly, running up the score in rural areas in those states. Young voters still end up giving Anarcho-Statism the electoral vote of Nebraska's 2nd congressional district.

Brief Summary: The presidential race would not be close, with TimTurner blowing Anarcho-Statism out of the water. This would become one of the biggest landslides in American history.

What Happened: The Republican Party was damaged so badly that it decided not to nominate a candidate. The Democratic Party nominated TimTurner, while the Green Party nominated Anarcho-Statism.

The conservatives within red states decided to back TimTurner, seeing him as the better of the two evils. Much of the Progressive Democratic voting base begun to flock to Anarcho-Statism, claiming that TimTurner is a Republican chaos agent within the Democratic Party, despite that Anarcho-Statism is a "garden-variety communist." Anarcho-Statism's socialist views would draw away moderates and a lot of Democrats to TimTurner. But however, some Progressive Democrats still stood with him. In the end, this support wasn't enough for Anarcho-Statism to overcome the all-encompassing base of TimTurner.

The GOP collapses, and the Constitution Party takes its place. This election is basically between a moderate conservative (BigZuck08) and a moderate liberal (TimTurner). TimTurner wins by a narrow margin.

For reference, my campaign would focus on increasing methamphetamine usage across America and making methamphetamine more accessible. If you want, you could do both WalterWhite (the poster) vs. BigZuck08 and Walter White (the BB character) vs. BigZuck08 in the same post.
