As a Dem? For sure. But as a member of a left wing party, no.

I think so, though it really depends on the district/state/state of the nation.

Maybe. IIRC he's pro-free trade, and I'm skeptical that that'd go over well in Michigan.

I think she would not face any serious challenge as Lt. Gov. or for a lower statewide office in MD.

I think it would be an uphill battle to get the D nomination for Governor (or US Sen ofc) and she could face a strong primary challenge imo, especially seeking a second term as Governor (as opposed to Senate). Imo voters would be more likely to accept her w/o a serious challenge (not exceeding 35% of the primary vote) in the Senate because left-wingers aren't governing as executives here and really focus on pulling the national dialogue left (see: Bernie) instead of being in the Senate leadership, for example. As Governor, she could face problems, especially if she moved too quickly or legislative Dems could prevent her from doing a lot of what she intends, leading voters to support her more strongly for reelection, who knows.

As a Democrat? Probably. He has some out of line views that would probably have him challenged by a more mainstream progressive.

Assuming he holds office as a Republican, he probably loses the primary to some pro-Trump challenger.
