Currently, probably that Biden will actually run for re-election to a 2nd term.

Biden should be primaried from the left. If the end result is either the primary challenger winning or Biden adopting some more left-leaning positions to win the primary, this will boost Democrats’ chances of winning.

Not only has a credible primary against an incumbent never worked out for the incumbent party (& not only has Biden been President for 4 weeks so, y'know, nice chance-giving abilities you've got there), but big-name progressives (especially Bernie) & progressive groups have supported en-masse the bulk of his policy agenda, significant chunks of which are probably even farther to the left than what he campaigned on in the last primary. Short of literally just undergoing a Face/Off-style switch with Bernie, what more could he possibly be doing to let the left know that he listens to them because he values their input, that he's heard them, & that he's extended a sh*tton of both policy & personnel-related olive branches to them as a result?

Biden will be the Democratic nominee.

Trump will clear most of the field in the Republican primary, but whoever stays in to challenge him will do better than most people expect.

Never Trumpers will run a well-funded independent candidate, and this board will tear itself apart with hot takes about whether the independent hurts Trump or Biden more.

What's your hot take on this matter? Tongue
