Youngkin wins the VA Gov in 2021, due to T-Mac having corruption and sexual assault charges on him, along with a red wave. He wins the GOP Nomination in 2024 after it is revealed Youngkin is Trump's long lost brother, and endorses him. He defeats a Pelosi/Schumer ticket, and is inaugurated.

Joe Biden dies in office in early 2022 and Kamala Harris, under the 25th Amendment, appoints Conor Lamb her vice president, aiming to bring youth and Midwestern appeal to her 2024 ticket. However, after a brief honeymoon period, her approvals dip for a variety of reasons, Republicans unsuccessfully impeach her after a red wave in the midterms. Shocking the nation, President Harris announces in September 2023 that she's not running for a full term. Vice President Lamb gets the nomination with token opposition and, with Gretchen Whitmer as his running mate, defeats a Mike Pence/Ron DeSantis ticket.

Hochul wins the Democratic primary for Governor in 2022, defeating Cuomo. Biden doesn't run and makes no endorsement in the primary. Many candidates run for the Democratic nomination and Harris' lead slips away with Hochul narrowly winning the contest. She then wins the general election against Trump.

Donald Trump is in prison, and Mitt Romney decides to channel his inner Harold Stassen and run for President one last time, winning the nomination, after his only competition, Marjorie Taylor-Greene is indicted for treason.

He defeats Biden in the general election, largely by outspending him.

In late 2021/early 2022, the White House kitchen is contaminated with a particularly virulent strain of Clostridium botulinum. Both the President and VP eat contaminated food during one of their weekly lunches, and succumb to botulism.

As Speaker of the House, Pelosi is next in line. She takes office with a powerful speech about rallying in the face of adversity, and manages to drag her approval rating out of the gutter for the first time in years. Selecting a wildly popular VP, she uses her experience with the House to direct one of the most successful midterm elections in recent history, holding both houses.

With two more years to pursue their agenda, Democrats plough ahead with the most populist aspects of their agenda. Thanks to a focus on infrastructure, reducing unemployment and withdrawing from the Middle East, Pelosi gains the begrudging respect of a plurality of Americans.

Buoyed by their midterm success, Democrats decide not to rock the boat, and Pelosi faces only token opposition.

After a tough campaign against Governor Noem (SD) that passes 2016 for the dislike expressed for both candidates, the race looks close. But after footage of Noem accidentally shooting a puppy leaks to CNN, Pelosi gains just enough votes from Pennsylvania dog lovers to put her over the top with exactly 270 votes.

Due to Disney going into God mode, as well as Dems and Repubs run William Jefferson and Duncan Hunter. The head wins with memes and is inaugurated.

Cal Cunningham

Cal Cunningham is able to bring up scandals about McMaster, and polls verry well in the gov race. He ends up narrowly winning. Biden dies of a stroke, Harris becomes president and appoints Cunningham VP. Harris decides not to run because of some health problem. Cunningham wins the nom and wins the presidency over Kristi Noem.

Due to an unexpected stroke in early 2023, President Joe Biden resigns his office and Vice President Kamala Harris is inaugurated. She appoints Roy Cooper as vice president who is confirmed by the senate by a large margin--senate Republicans being rightfully terrified of Nancy Pelosi being second in line for the presidency. In 2024, Harris--with approvals in the low 40s following a failed intervention in Venezuela--announces she will not be seeking the presidency. Cooper narrowly defeats Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman for the nomination and beats Kristi Noem in the general election, carrying most of Biden's states and North Carolina while losing Wisconsin.

Shaked gains name recognition as the crisis progresses which causes her to be hailed as a hero, Congress even amends the constitution just so she can run, Biden does not run for re-election due to low approvals and she defeats Harris by a landslide.

Mario Draghi
Draghi, after taking a DNA test for the fun of it, finds out he was born in the US. News channels cover it extensively, and he gets tons of publicity for it. He enters into US politics, in a time when divisiveness was everywhere. He runs as an independent, and wins over Harris and Mike Lee.

In the midterms of 2022, a strange trend emerges. Democrats suffer tremendously in the Midwest, but make huge gains among LDS voters, who grow increasingly uncomfortable with a Trump 2024 candidacy. Many of these gains are attributed to former-Rep McAdams, who coordinated campaigns across the western Rocky Mountain states.

After Biden announces he won't run for re-election, and Trump's campaign begins in earnest, party leaders persuade McAdams to run in the Democratic primary, against token opposition. McAdams wins a narrow victory, by flipping the 'Mormon Belt' states.

Biden is too sick to run again, so Harris runs but polls horribly with Latinos. Deb Haaland then jumps in and polls much better with Latinos, so she is considered a more electable candidate and wins the primary and general election.

Somehow it is discovered that she is still alive and well, and she didn’t really die in 2007. Using this new found publicity, she launches a bid for President and is able to win the D primary. She goes on to defeat Ron DeSantis.

Castro runs for Governor of Texas, and defeats Greg Abbott and Matthew McCounaghey in a three-way race. After Biden announces he will retire, Castro enters the primaries, and defeats Kamala Harris for the nomination, by winning in Nevada and in the majority of states on Super Tuesday, ultimately winning the majority of superdelegates in a contested convention, because they aren't convinced Harris can win in November.

Castro defeats Donald Trump in the General Election.

Chris Pappas becomes more progressive in order to primary Maggie Hassan. He runs an unapologetically progressive campaign along with several others in other states and four Democratic Senators lose their  primaries. All the progressives go on to win the general elections and Dems keep control of both houses of Congress. After the most progressive Representatives do everything they can to undermine the administration, but Pappas uses this to appeal to moderates as well. He primaries Harris on this basis and wins the general.

Kristi Noem's attempt to override the recreational marijuana referenda from 2020 is successful. Local activists managed to paint her as antidemocratic, and when combined with a series of stumbles as governor, her local popularity tumbles.

Stephanie Herseth Sandlin, as the last Democratic member of the US House from South Dakota, Noem's predecessor, senses weakness. She launches a campaign for Governor in 2022, and manages to beat Noem 50.1% to 49.9%, becoming the first Democrat to become Governor of South Dakota since the 1974 race.

Gov. Herseth Sandlin's win is the only silver lining on an otherwise disastrous midterm for the Democrats, and the party panics. Biden, sensing a tough race, decides to retire.

The 2024 primary ends up wide open, and Gov. Herseth Sandlin makes the case that she's the best placed to reach out to the parts of America that feel abandoned by the Democratic Party.

Herseth Sandlin wins the primary and beats the GOP ticket in a close race.

Joe Biden decides not to seek reelection leaving an open in the democratic primaries. Kamala Harris runs as the Biden continuation. The economic recovery slows in 2023 with high inflation. Melinda Gates decides to run a high tech economic focused campaign. On a change theme and revival platform she narrowly beats Harris in the primary. She goes on to beat Ted Cruz and his running mate Marjorie Taylor Greene in the general election.

Biden’s presidency doesn’t go well, and Harris isn’t that popular. The republicans chose Trump. The democrats want someone with experience fighting Trump, and that person is Hillary Clinton. She runs, and clears the field in the D primary except for a few progressives. She wins the primary, and the presidency over Trump.
