For all of his flaws, this is actually smart by Walker to create the narrative that itís democrats talking about these issues. For culture stuff to be effective, the narrative needs to be that democrats are extreme and they insist on talking about it instead of bread and butter issues.

That's a complete strawman though because Warnock has been talking about capping insulin and running on Democratic legislative accomplishments.

This is true, but in the end, framing/perception are what matters. Itís almost always the Republicans who are bringing up culture war issues, though they often manage to flip the script in their narrative.

Fair, but Walker needs to talk about something and it wonít be his strong articulation of the issues

I just saw an ad hitting Walker on abortion during Jeopardy! on Atlanta's channel 11.

I just saw an ad hitting Walker on abortion during Jeopardy! on Atlanta's channel 11.

And just today he talked about supporting Graham's proposal, saying he would definitely vote for it even though he thinks it should be up to the states:

https://www.ajc.com/politics/herschel-walker-supports-15-week-proposed-national-abortion-ban/IKTH4YNFMZCDZO47XZGXX5Q7CI/

Even if Warnock is skittish about emphasizing abortion too much, he should at least hit Walker on the blatant hypocrisy in that statement.

Yeah, Walker supporting the Graham abortion ban bill might just be the thing that pushes Warnock to finally really hit Walker on abortion now. Good.

I think he tries to play the anti-elitism-card with that. Not sure it works that way.

Also, Walker is a millionaire. This whole "I'm a country boy who doesn't wear nice suits" is literally a lie.

To Republicans, elite status isn't about income. It's about your political views.

To them, millionaire conservative Hershel Walker is 100x more 'real American' than a Democrat-voting waitress in the Bronx.

I begrudgingly respect Herschel Walker's willingness to publicly humiliate himself for the sake of lowering expectations as much as possible. I genuinely think many people would not be willing to do that.

This is an interesting article about split-ticket voters in Georgia this year: https://www.thebulwark.com/kemp-warnock-voters-theyre-real-and-theyre-spectacular/.  When you get past the author's (a fervent never-Trump Republican) slant, there are some good nuggets of information.  The key point I took away is that Warnock benefits from a contrast not only with Walker but with Stacey Abrams.  He comes across as a moderate compared to Abrams, even though his actual record in the Senate may not bear that out.

I mean same with Kemp. He comes across as a moderate compared to Trump, even though his actual record as Governor is the opposite.

I don't see why he wouldn't. Put him in the suburbs and then dispatch Barack and Michelle Obama to Atlanta. I know Obama campaigning on the behalf of others didn't do much last year, from what it seemed, but for a candidate that black voters will respond to better than MacAuliffe or Murphy, like Warnock, it could help boost turnout. There really isn't any downside at all. I hope he campaigns all across the country soon...maybe not Arizona though, they've never liked him.

He should to pay back Warnock.  The huge black voter turnout in the runoff made the difference.

For the first time I can remember, 538 has NV rated more likely to flip than GA.

What happens if Kemp wins the governor race, and the senate race goes to a runoff?

Are Republicans likely to come vote for Walker?

A new poll has Kemp only at 50/47 not 51/44 it's likely Warnock wins outright QU has had Warnock at 50 and Gov race goes to a Runoff

Trafalgar and Emerson polls aren't lining up with other polls in NV, WI and OH a poll shows by change that Nan W is down by 6 pts not 20 and DeWine only won by 3 and if DeWine underperforming like DeSantis did 0.18, OH, NC and FL will go D, Biden is at or near 50 not 41 percent now, we are now starting early voting which benefits Ds not in primary season

No, Republicans are low turnout in special elections. Unless Trump does a lot personally ofc.

Rs came out in TX34 special, that's just Rs excuse for losing AK and NY 19 because they flipped a D TX seat no problem there either

Rs also underperform on the ballot when he Trump isn't on the ballot re KY 2019 OH, WVA, and MT Sen and KY Gov 2018, it's not just Special and Cali recall 2021 the R base didn't show up in Cali only in Va

Portman wonby 20 in 2016with Trump and Brown beat Renacci, the Rs blocked Voting Rights Vance is gonna get 0 percent of Blk vote like Renacci did DeWine got 6/12 of Blk vote that's why he is winning now
