Oh s***! This is pretty huge. It won't matter to the GOP base (Scott DesJarlais is still in the House after all) but this is just about the most hypocritical thing you could do in the eyes of non-cultists, especially in a post-Dobbs environment.

DesJarlis underperforms his district’s PVI like every election.

Also, his district has been >60% R continuously since 2008.  Biden won Georgia statewide.

Erickson is a hack, but this man appears baffled by the idea of an even-mildly independent press. Just because Maggie Haberman gets her stories and framing directly from Democratic campaigns doesn’t mean anyone else should.

Many people have paid for their girlfriends to get abortions, even those who claim to be pro life, but this is the line that I think really seals the deal of Walker being uniquely scummy and ridicule-worthy even beyond just being hypocritical:

And I doubt that feeling varies much across the abortion divide.

And look, I totally get that even new parents will find themselves with unexpected pregnancies. But maybe the fact that Walker found himself in that situation would, I don't know, make him feel some empathy for others in that same situation now?

Walker is such a trash, awful candidate.   It's going to be horrible if he wins.   Warnock isn't perfect either but Walker is a whole different level of terrible.

Well, the good news is if he does win, there's a nonzero percent chance he's forced to resign during his term because of a major scandal. There's also the fact that he's probably DOA for reelection in 2028.
