Were he to have run in 1948, Eisenhower probably would've been elected alongside a Republican Congress, so more of the New Deal would likely be chipped away at than otherwise was in real life, especially with Taft still being a huge presence in the Senate. For an example, something like the TVA would probably meet its end in this scenario.

There also probably ends up being no Korean War, unless the principal actors somehow aren't wary of starting trouble in the region even when South Korea's chief ally is led by the General who was the Supreme Allied Commander in Europe during WW2.
