What are some of the worst shows ever made??? I am discussing shows widely panned by critics like My Mother The Car, Cop Rock, whatever Naomi Watts did a few years ago, etc ...

How I Met Your Mother

I literally sat through 2 entire episodes without so much as uttering a chortle.  Goddamn that show is awful.

Such a shame, too, because they got some fine ass females.  I think one of them stuck a flute up her vajayjay in that one movie.

BRTD and Santander putting South Park and Family Guy is ridiculous. Have either of you actually watched truly bad TV before?

Two Broke Girls, perhaps the worst farce of a sitcom that was on air

The same way that Christian screamo is bad music.

The Simpsons (Seasons 15-18, 23-Present*) [*I assume, since I gave up at 24. 12-14 were just mediocre and 19-22 were the final Movie bump, and then came that Lady Gaga episode.]

Doctor Who (Seasons 20-23...good gravy, what was wrong with the writers in the 80's?)

Bunsen is a Beast

Mr. Pickles

Full House

Spongebob Squarepants [post Movie...except when Hillenburg came back for a season...then it sucked again]

Family Guy [Season 5-Present]

Allen Gregory

Caillou

Firefly

The Big Bang Theory. And it's spinoff, Young Sheldon. Also other 2010ish cbs "comedies" like Two and Half Men and How I Met Your Mother.

Family Guy is fantastic but like the Simpsons has really faded from its golden era. South Park I consider unwatchable for anyone over the age of like 14.

-Allen Gregory.
-Boohbah.
-Full House/Fuller House.
-Brickleberry.
-Mulaney.
-Ridiculousness and most other shows that feature internet videos.
-The Big Bang Theory.
-Two and a Half Men.
-Most Disney Channel and Nickelodeon live-action sitcoms (there are way too many to name).

You could actually make a case for any MTV reality show, but I focused on The Real World because it's in my opinion the single most destructive TV show of all time. It ruined MTV at first (seriously 90s MTV was awesome*) by starting the precedent for all the sh!tty reality shows they had, and then TV in general once non-MTV networks started the same thing. Television as a whole recovered once narrative-driven acclaimed shows started to blow up instead, now considered some of the best of all time, (like Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones, well the latter had it not been for the horrific ending which kind of ruined the whole series), but MTV never did and for setting the stage for both that and that ugly decade-ish period that we had with TV as a medium in the dumps, that puts The Real World well ahead of later junk like The Hills and Jersey Shore. The fact that it was never a particularly interesting show to begin with (I remember even as a preteen/teenager finding it as dull as paint drying and would rather watch the educational videos I had to watch in school than it), is kind of just the rotten icing on a moldy cake.

*Though I'll admit there might be a bit of a nostalgia filter at work here, for example when I tried watching The State a couple years back my immediate reaction was "Oh wow this show didn't age well." and then later realizing that's quite the understatement. I recall someone else noting that it's basically utterly hilarious if you're under 25 and then after you turn 25 almost instantly shifts to being near unwatchable and think that's possibly an accurate summary.

I watch a lot of adult animation, and Allen Gregory is, by far, the worst of the worst. I'd almost recommend it just to see how bad things can truly be. So awful.

I just saw this. It really accentuates my hatred of this show. This may have been a weaker episode or something but gah, this is so unfunny. Also, how did anyone think Jim Parsons could believably play a heterosexual man?

Ah yes, the old "laugh track test." It's a good way to figure out if a show is legitimately funny or not when it comes to its writing. 'Seinfeld' actually succeeds at this. Of course, all shows with laugh tracks, event he good ones, do become a little awkward with the constant pausing.

Wipeout
America's Funniest Home Videos

On a personal level, I absolutely hated, hated, hated the first episode of The Romanoffs to an irrational level that I can't really even explain. It was probably the closest I've come to being the guy in the "I'm literally shaking" copypasta. I've never watched any of the rest of the show lest it make me decide to burn down a house or punch a small child, so who knows, maybe it gets better. I have to imagine, if it can make me that emotional in a negative way, it's probably got to be pretty powerful in a positive way for someone else.

Also I've never seen this, but geez.

Cop Rock.

For the life of me, I simply cannot understand why a TV executive thought ordering a police procedural that also was a musical would be a good idea.
