I think Pataki was still popular enough to win against Cuomo. Would have been within five points though.

Pataki. Even w/o 9/11, Pataki was still too popular to be beaten. It's believed the JFK Jr. wouldn't have been able to beat him if he lived and ran. If a Kennedy is speculated to not have been able to win, Cuomo doesn't have a shot.
