It's not really so foggy, but the skies are extremely grey, especially in winter... or fall... or spring. That said, our last Summer was unusually hot.

I think if we had a lot of fog too the weather would just be too depressing to bear.

I wasn't very keen on us going into Iraq if I'm honest, mainly because the government wasn't making the case adequately enough. Though I can understand Blair's motivation behind it.

Yep. Smiley

But it's quite ironic that a Labour Prime Minister is the most bellicose PM we've ever had. He's sent British troops into war five times in seven years, or something like that.

Once in Kosovo, Sierra Leone, twice in Iraq (if you include the bombing raids in '98), and Afghanistan as well. I wouldn't say any of them were unjustified (Afghanistan and Kosovo certainly were necessary in my opinion), but you're right, it's still a lot.

Anyway, I have to go to work now. See you around. Smiley

Kerry's is certainly one of the great political comebacks. He took a huge risk by putting all his efforts and resources into IA, and it paid off. Should be interesting to see how it all pans out now.

These primaries are turning out to be more exciting than I hoped. Smiley

Kerry had no choice. He was falling and falling fast in NH. He needed to start from scratch and decided to run full-force in Iowa.  Give Jeanne Shaheen, his national chair (co-chair, whatever) credit, too. She purged his leadership team and I'm sure told Kerry that he was wasting his time in NH for the time being.

Gustaf who do you support if you could vote

I am not sure, but leaning towards Edwards. I did a political tests, and I think Kerry came up as the best match for me, so I am fine with him as well.

That selectquote test pegged Kerry as #2 for me behind Bush.

Blair is a courageous leader who knows that the US and the UK succeed as a team, not as enemies.

Not engaging in war doesn't make you more peaceful.  It makes you disengaged.

I'm most pleased for Edwards here! Kerry may win NH now, but when the southern states have their primaries it looks like a battle between Clark and Edwards. I think Dean's campaign is sinking faster than a rock. Its fine to dream, but we need a president here, not just candidate! Now a Clark/Edwards ticket...pinch me now!

I think Clark will fade as these others (Kerry and Edwards) have become the anti-Dean.

We weren't at peace before we engaged in WW2.  It was a false peace. It was a peace in our mind.  You're  at war even if you're just surrendering.

I think Clark really holds the key as far as how this primary season will start to shape up. Kerry has got his footing again and Edwards more positive campaign style has become an attractive choice. With those two coming up this suddenly puts Dean in an almost must win situation. His mistakes and outrageous remarks have taken him out of the mainstream.

I don't think LIeberman will have a strong showing. NH is the beginning of the end for him. Then we have Clark. What will be considered good or bad for him. Is 3rd place good enough to build momentum? To be honest the way the primaries and some of the campaigns were looking I was geting quite dissapointed but Iowa has pumped life into this seasons primaries. Even if Dean does become the eventual winner Iowa has sent a strong message to his campaign. He must take what he says seriously and not just use outrageous remarks and statements to get atention. At first what got him up to the top has actually begun to hurt him. I am anxiously waiting for the next couple of weeks to see what the big picture will look like.

At first what got him up to the top has actually begun to hurt him. I am anxiously waiting for the next couple of weeks to see what the big picture will look like.

Judging by last night's crazy speech, he has missed the memo.

Here's what the Dems have said about him on a Dem board:

I am beside myself right now.
Thats putting it mildly.
LOL... Dookus
he was shrieking the names of a bunch of states
Picture a psychotic truck driver headed full steam for a bridge abuttment
Very unattractive and manic display.
More like a man on the edge
Oh my God, he said Yeeha
That was strange. YeeeeHa?
The Yeeha seemed forced to me..
Maybe he will get the southern white male vote after all ;-)
Hey look, he can name all 50 states
I wonder if someone spiked his coke with crystal meth soleft
Does his wife double as a phychologist? The guy needs a tranquilizer.
Who's that scarey man on TV mommy?
Good god, he's like a drunk whirling dervish... Holy cow. Is this what Dean is really like?
sure am glad I'm not the only one who thinks he's acting looney...
I think his card table is folding fast
I'm a Dean Support too and I'm stunned
he's speaking in tounges!
He was acting really scary!
He was yelling all the states in this angry hoarse voice then yeeehaawed
And growling like a mad dog.. Man I hope they show that again...
Look, I love Dean's passion, but that was scary.
It was one of the most shocking things I've seen in a long time
MSNBC: Would you want a doctor like THIS in the ER?
Yep. Imagine you're an NH voter watching this display...
Several months ago, I predicted Dean would implode, he just did
He looked like Jimmy Swaggart.
