You can instead work for Biden, who will deploy you to the texas panhandle initially to help in his primary campagin but later to form an initial investment in texas in case the election gets hot. You are not allowed to leave the region you are assigned for more than a 2-week long break nor can you sabotage your candidates campagin.

Plus I already live in a pretty red county and I really did not experience much heckling despite my prominently displayed Biden paraphernalia (a driver gave me the finger while I was out on a walk wearing my Biden-Harris shirt in September) so I think I could handle Texas.

I had lunch at a Torchy's Tacos in Amarillo in December, and all the other people in line seemed normal. I went to Palo Duro Canyon and that was beautiful. The Texas Panhandle is awfully cold and windy, but you could live a normal life there.
