Likely R. Turnout patterns are going to be really interesting, but the sympathy vote is probably going to be huge and it would take hugely disproportionate D turnout to overcome that.

Yeah I don't think a lockout by either side would be that surprising here.

Dan Rodimer is a literal vulture, wow. "Someone died, that's my queue to move into their district from another state to try and win their seat!"

Also it's very clearly not him who's riding the bull, they purposely avoid showing the stunt double's face. What a clown.

Eww, RRH.

@Forumlurker and EastOfEden, relax. It's a low turnout special where Democrats barely invested.

All of the D candidates were pretty deeply flawed, which is what led to none of them consolidating the D vote.

Ellzey had a lot more funding than Wright did (especially with outside groups taken into account), so he probably had a much more robust turnout game in his base.

As usual, Atlas is overreacting. It's one special election with lower turnout so far away from the midterms. This means nothing one way or the other.

This, Special elections tend to be weird anyway. This is definitely not something to be pleased about if you're a Dem but don't panic just yet.
But panicking is my hobby!

Wouldn't read too much into the result; Trump endorsed house candidates lost primaries in 2020 in NC-11, VA-05, and CO-03, though in all 3 cases the candidate who won was more "Trumpy" than the candidate Trump endorsed.

What you just posted was one of the most insanely idiotic threads I have ever read. At no point in the rambling, incoherent comments were they even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this thread is now dumber for having looked at it. I award the Freepers no points, and may god have mercy on their souls.
