Easily jmfcst, as his was the only one of these bans I regret.

Basically, a mod who didn't care for him moderated a number of long time outstanding reported posts that had been left unresolved all at once back in the days when infraction points could lead to an automatic ban.  Not surprisingly, he didn't react well to that, and he decided that as long as he was being banned, he'd act in a manner deserving of a ban, including multiple obnoxious socks. It was not one of the better spots of Atlas moderating history, and frankly neither he nor the mod in question acted well in my opinion.

I'll grant his off-forum activities contributed to his ban, but his on-forum activities alone more than justified his banning in my opinion.

Tweed was banned for one of the biggest scandals in Atlas history: ModCaveLeaks.

Also I realize I could've maybe included SvenTC. He's a gray area case because he never had a ten-year old account and was banned well before ten years, so I didn't count him. I'm honestly shocked he was even allowed back to begin with seeing as how he had multiple ban evasion socks in the interim.

Tweed is obviously the best of the bunch, and I'm glad I'm still in contact with him. jmfcst was strange in many ways, but he offered a valuable perspective that was (and is) otherwise lacking. I find that I take more interest in his posts in retrospect now that I'm more interested in Christianity than I did back when he was posting. opebo was often amusing thanks to his assiduously cultivated persona, but he offered less in the way of what this forum is actually about. I think that people who don't remember when he was here might be surprised at how personally pleasant he always was.

The other two are interesting as archetypes, but they offered nothing and made this forum a meaningfully worse place. With Naso you were always aware that he was simultaneously dimwitted and profoundly hateful, but over time his posts made you think less of the former and more of the latter.

jmfcst was strange in many ways, but he offered a valuable perspective that was (and is) otherwise lacking.

I'm probably fonder of him as a poster than I should be in part because responding to him helped me define my beliefs and values more strongly than they had been.

Also I had a fondness for the idiotic dinner doodle placemats he'd share from his church.
