Forgive me if one already exists, there wasn't one in the megathread directory.

New DNS registrations for Ivanka Trump and Francis Suarez, both of whom would obviously be primarying DeSantis.

Why would Ivanka want to primary DeSantis considering he and her father are already allies?

On this one, it says Nelsonforgovernor.com.

No way of knowing who that is. But I wonder if former Senator Bill Nelson is trying to make a comeback?

Considering he'll be 80 by then, I'm not so sure about that.

Or maybe he's still at it?

Bill Nelson wasn't really "at it" even when he was actually "at it."

From what I've heard through the Nelson grapevine (that is, based on what he literally told a friend of mine face-to-face at a pre-COVID UF event), he couldn't be more done.

I like Charlie Crist, but I'm not sure he'd have a chance.

Quote
Charlie Crist sounds serious about 2022 governor’s race

Crist has elaborated a list of reasons for joining the race: dissatisfaction with Gov. Ron DeSantis, particularly his handling of the coronavirus, and Crist’s own positioning as a moderate Democrat.

U.S. Rep. Charlie Crist, D-St. Petersburg, is sounding serious about challenging Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis in 2022.

That puts Crist in a crowd of potential Democrats eying the race, but he would have some advantages: a Tampa Bay area base and a long history of statewide campaigns, though with mixed results.

On Friday, he made it clear to MSNBC’s Willie Geist: “I am considering a run for governor again.”

And in recent interviews with the Times and CBS Miami’s Jim DeFede, Crist’s answer to the question was that people are suggesting he run, and “My mind is open to it.”

Crist elaborated a long list of reasons for joining the race: dissatisfaction with DeSantis, particularly his handling of the coronavirus, and Crist’s own positioning as a moderate Democrat in favor of law enforcement, environmental protection, civil rights and public education.

Looks like Fried's in for Governor, so there goes our last remaining statewide Democrat:

I doubt she would have won re-election. She probably realizes that and decided she has nothing to lose by running for Governor.

So the video was released, and it seems like an announcement in all but name.

Didn’t think her candidacy for governor/senator would have been wasted so soon, but I guess that’s what’s gonna happen ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Crist's seat could get bluer because more of Pinellas would go to the Pasco district due to population growth.

He's best staying in the House.

No.

He'd be a good Blue Dog balance for the leftwing House.

I enthusiastically support Crist, Crist wants be Gov not Rep, he only ran for House to run for Gov again, not stay in House

If DeSantis loses, he won't be Prez

Which will likely make his seat in FL-13 much more winnable for the Republicans.

Tim Ryan and Crist are going for higher office, due to fact they might not survive Reapportionment anyways.

But, until we know the Reapportionment maps, the House is still a Tossup for D's and we can win Latino districts even in the South

Well, they're both horrible candidates. Granted, it's likely that no Democrat can win these races, but it's yet another exhibit in FL-DEM incompetence.
