What do you think Trump and Biden personally thought of the 2020 election results?

To me, Trump seems like the kind of person who is generally a bit overconfident; I think he genuinely thought he would win re-election, and for a while, things seemed to be going his way on election night as it became clear he would win FL by a respectable margin, only for it to all slip away as more votes were counted.

Biden on the other hand seemed sort of cautiously optimistic, and from what I've read, he thought the EC map would be more or less as it was flip GA and NC, and some slightly different margins in some very specific states. His team seemed to know where the election was heading pretty quickly as on election night he gave a speech pretty much getting the entire EC map correct. I think overall, he was satisfied with the result and OFC happy he was president-elect.

Both knew far in advance that Biden would win.

Both also know that there was no widespread election fraud.  Trump does not legitimately believe this. 

That is why Trump was desperate to get Bush v. Gore alumni on the Supreme Court.   It was part of his (longshot) plan.

Biden was realistic about the election--they focused hard on the Rust Belt firewall and knew that it would be close in PA, MI, and WI.

Trump was (and still is) delusional about it.
