EDIT: Just want to note the irony of a Massachusetts AV calling anyone else’s sports fans insufferable
to be fair, "insufferable" isn't a strong enough word to properly describe Boston sports fan.

The Braves sweep the Phillies to clinch the NL East title!  Weirdly, it was the Braves' first sweep at Truist Park this season; they've had a better record on the road than at home.

I never would have seen this coming when the Braves, who had been struggling to hit .500 the first half of the season, lost their best player (Ronald Acuna Jr.) for the season on July 11.  But some savvy acquisitions before the trade deadline, some key returns from injury, and some players getting hot at the right time made all the difference.

Something I don't recall ever seeing before: Lots of MLB players wear gold chains.  Joc Pederson of the Braves wears a string of pearls.

It's a FAD to show how rich they're are among BLM players LeBron and Westbrook where jewelry too, it's a fad since Mr T when he was on the ATeam in the 80s but it exacerbates the wealth inequality among Blk and Latino men and BLK and Latino athletes

TATIS JR WEAR A GOLD CHAIN WHEN HE HITS HE HE IS BLK AND LATINO ALONG WITH MANNY MACHADO

77% of us are the homeless and prison population and BLK females are in poverty if they're single moms, I grew up in one

The Yankees started the 30M dollar salaries when they signed Derek Jeter and ARod to 30 M Dollar contracts and Jordan and Kobe signed one too

But, Blk athletes like DeShsun Watson abuse their wives and Kobe cheated on his wife

Also, endorsements aren't that big, the memorbilla be like autograph jerseys, jackets and Nike shoes which are made in Hong Kong aren't selling  that much

Most fans go to games, I live in LA, Fans still are wearing jerseys or jackets that much like pre Pandemic

CELEBRITY THAT WC HAVE IS TOM BRADY, VUT HE DOESNT WEAR JEWELRY BUT CENA DOES HE IS BLUE COLLAR

Congratulations to the Granite City Cards on winning the Atlas fantasy league, I doubt I can score 160+ points to win in two days.  Cheesy

Dodgers win, Brewers can't beat Western teams like we thought they would do

Division comes down to tomorrow, but the Dodgers would be tied now of they didn't lose to Arizona

This what LA teams do comeback at the end

This Mariners fan is the most excited I have been this late in the season in 20 years. Maybe the Mariners and the Taliban have some weird metaphysical connection. Anyways, it's sure to be a glorious day tomorrow for intrigue in the American League wild card race.

So here we are on Game 162.  A number of tiebreaker scenarios still exist.

The Dodgers are one game behind the Giants and can force a tiebreaker (played in SF) with a LAD win and a SF loss today.  SF wins the NLW with a win OR a LAD loss.

The Yankees and Red Sox are currently tied and both hold the two ALWC spots, with Toronto and Seattle a game behind.  We could see a four way tie, a three way tie, or a tie for the 2nd WC seed (potentially a three way).

Elaborating on the last post, we could have a 4 way tie for the two AL WC spots if SEA and TOR win, while NYY and BOS lose.  This would essentially create a 4-team tournament for the eventual WC winner.

We could see a 3 way tie for the two WC spots if NYY and BOS both lose, with either SEA or TOR winning.  In this scenario, teams can choose to be Team A, B, or C, or basically getting the choice between winning two home games or one road game.  The team with the best combined head to head record gets dibs on the choice.

We could see a 3 way tie strictly for the 2nd WC spot with wins by both SEA and TOR, with one of NYY and BOS winning.  The winner of the latter two teams clinches the first WC seed and awaits the winner of the other trio, which will get the ABC treatment.

Finally, there are scenarios which result in a 2-way tie for the 2nd WC.  This would occur if one of NYY/BOS wins, while one of TOR/SEA wins.  The #1 seed would await the result of the two tied teams.

Note that if there's a two way tie for the #1 spot (ie NYY and BOS both winning), it does not generate a tiebreaker game as there are two WC spots anyway.

This is all assuming my calculations are correct, feel free to fact-check me.  Maybe we'll finally get one of these weird scenarios after all these years.

Dodgers play Giants in Division series they play well on SF, it doesn't even matter if they're a WC team or not because they play well on the Road

And...there will be no tiebreakers after all, as the Yankees and Red Sox each win to clinch the two ALWC spots, while the Giants take care of business to clinch the NL West.

Brewers have not been playing well for over half a month. I expect them to lay an egg in the NLDS sadly.

If the Dodgers somehow make it to the World Series this year, they will make short work of a team as middling as the Yankees.

Giants are. Clearly the Favs, I can be a Giants fan, I was a warriors fan but Dodgers are Road Warriors and beat Giants in SF, they do good on Road, being a WC team might not be bad for them
