Of course the Dodgers with Betts and Lux are awesome, the Giants were good before the Dodgers, I have no qualms about Angels, As, Giants or Dodgers or Padres winning

Hilarious:

There were two outs.  Why didn't the first baseman simply step on first?

Of course, nothing will ever top the (in)famous play on which Tommy John made three errors on the same play.

In an "only in California" problem, Shohei Ohtani got scratched from a start tonight because he got caught in traffic in Oakland. He's still DH'ing, though.

Quote
A traffic jam kept Los Angeles Angels right-hander Shohei Ohtani from making it to the ballpark in time for his regular pregame pitching routine, and he was scratched from his scheduled start Thursday night against the Oakland Athletics and shifted to designated hitter.

Because of an accident on the Bay Bridge that snarled traffic for one of the Angels' several buses, making a 45-minute trip increasingly longer than planned, Ohtani returned to the hotel and wound up on Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) and he fell further behind schedule.

"That kept pushing him back," manager Joe Maddon said. "For us, Shohei's most comfortable, he's pretty much regimented to get everything going about 4 o'clock for his start. It exceeded that by maybe an hour, so we started calling the audible at that point to not pitch him tonight. And if we're not going to pitch him, we're going to DH him."

Catcher Kurt Suzuki, a former Oakland fan favorite, was on the same bus and scratched along with Ohtani. Suzuki will catch Ohtani (1-0, 2.37 ERA) Friday night.

Pretty much the Astros shut the Dodgers up about their B****ing

Yeah that dirty hit by the Marlins pitcher cost us MVP Cory Seagar, we won't beat the Astros without Seagar, that's why he is MVP

When are fans gonna learn that Seagar is just as important as Betts

Slipping out of that Marlins hands, the ball, pitchers whom are known for cheating can make a hot batter pitch look like an accident

I am not saying that every case, but when you go after an MVP something is rotten and the Marlins kept losing

Wood hit one of our Dodgers today but he hit him on the leg not on the hand, because Giants are our hometown team too

OK, I have to post one more on the Cubs-Pirates play.  Anyone who remembers the old Benny Hill Show will appreciate this.  The music meshes with the action perfectly!

Embarrassing moment for the umpires in last night's Yankees-Tigers game, as the Yankees's Gio Urshela was awarded a walk after only three balls.

Quote
Gio Urshela of the New York Yankees was the beneficiary of an apparent mix-up over the count Friday night, drawing a walk after only three balls.

Urshela came to the plate in the sixth inning against the Detroit Tigers. After he fouled off several 2-2 pitches, the next offering from Kyle Funkhouser was way outside and went to the backstop. Urshela tossed his bat aside and headed to first. Nobody from the Tigers appeared to argue.

The Yankees did not end up scoring in the inning and eventually lost 3-2 in extras. Vic Carapazza was the plate umpire.

Josh Donaldson scored the two millionth run in Major League Baseball history in today's Twins-Royals game.

Quote
Josh Donaldson of the Minnesota Twins scored the 2 millionth run in major league history Saturday, trotting home in the first inning on a ground-rule double by Nelson Cruz against the Kansas City Royals.

No one is beating the Padres, Giants or Dodgers to win the World Series, and everyone knows it

Our Giants won 3 World Series as well

The Rams are tough too, the only title East Coast teams can win is Hockey and Clippers or Lakers will win in Basketball too

Cali and FL have the best stars because they spend the most money on teams

I really am 28. It's just, the 1969 Mets are a fond memory for pretty much any Mets fan, including myself.

As a Mets fan, have you ever read Now Wait a Minute, Casey! by Maury Allen?  It's the story of the 1962-64 Mets teams.  One of the funniest sports books I've ever read.

I actually haven't. I'll have to make a note to order it off Amazon for my birthday next March.

Jacob DeGrom's ERA through two months is literally 0.71.

That's not a typo.

I'm not sure what more he has to do to prove he's a first-ballot Hall of Famer at this point if he keeps putting out ridiculous numbers like this.

Keep in mind his ERA the last three seasons has been, 2.38 (2020), 2.43 (2019) and an equally absurd 1.70 (2018).

Rich Hill's ERA in May is 0.78. First-ballot Hall of Famer imo

Silly comparison. Do not question deGromism.
