Yeah, let's launch the 117th investigation into Benghazi or Hillary's e-mails instead of focusing on an insurrection spurred on by the president a couple of weeks ago.

Who is saying we need to reopen investigations into Benghazi or Hillary's emails?
The martyr complex is strong with this one, Atlas

It's the sheer hypocrisy of wanting to "move on" from an insurrection that literally JUST happened, while the GOP was preoccupied for YEARS on end with those two pseudo-scandals.

The GOP dropped its fascination with both of these scandals as soon as Clinton was defeated, IIRC
Maybe Congressional Dems should do the same

They can't. They have the House & Senate, so they know when things will go down the toilet, people will blame them. So instead of reasonable governing, like balanced budgets, reasonable spending, no tax raises, taking care of the pandemic, etc. They need Trump at the front page so people will shy away from their incompetence.

Aren't you suppose to be gone, for an entire year, from this site?
Exit now.

Imagine being this petty lol

Why does what some anonymous person says on the Internet bother some of you so much?  lol

Congressional Dems should just give up on an insurrection that happened at the US Captiol, that was incited by the sitting president, and almost left members of Congress *dead*? WHat actual line of thinking is this?

You KNOW the point that person was trying to make, you're just being incredibly disingenuous about it

This Forum: Nikki Haley would receive Bush levels in the suburbs and get 90% of the vote in Fairfax and win VA and CO.

This forum: Nikki Haley is easily the most overrated candidate for 2024 and she's gonna collapse in the Primaries to Flawless Ron DeSantis, who'd receive Bush levels in the suburbs and get 90% of the vote in Fairfax and win VA and CO.

And here's the obvious difference. Benghazi and Hillary's emails were b******* issues from top to bottom solely designed as a distraction and Bs hit piece for the campaign. Republicans knew this and Ergo dropped the matters as soon as it was no longer politically necessary to smear Hillary anymore.

Meanwhile, Trump's literal sedition and inciting an armed lynch-mob to successfully take over the floor of the capital and put Congress is life in jeopardy because they refuse to acknowledge his fantasy that he had won the election is in objectively f****** huge deal to anyone who is an American and not a political hack.

And where were you when people's livelihoods, houses, businesses were being burned & looted, HUH? Why do you act like you care about mobs when thousands of lives were being destroyed in Minneapolis and elsewhere, while you were sitting comfortably in your home, probably in some midwestern suburb, sipping your latte, complaining about Trump or some bs.

That's literally psychotic.

Would it be tasteless to say "Move on, and give Ted Bundy a break"? or "Move on and give John Gacy a break"? Do infamous crime, and your infamy outlasts you.

Huh.  It's almost like Nikki is intelligent enough and possesses enough political savvy to understand that the Lincoln Project/Bulwark/hardcore NeverTrumpers aren't really a constituency and that lighting her long term political ambitions on fire just to appease this tiny group of people is a terrible trade.  Who could have predicted that?

"The neighbor up-the-street took his rifle and shot at you. He luckily missed hitting your head and murdering you, by about a foot. The neighbor decided to move, and no longer lives anywhere near you. Just give the neighbor a break and move-on. Don't tell the authorities and don't go through all the proper court procedures to punish him."
Well, technically the neighbor just moved to his gaudy apartment and is open about whether to move back in and shoot you, or just leasing the home to some other person to shoot you instead.

Trump quite literally attempted to stage a coup against the United States.

He is a traitor.

Now we know Haley still supports him, making her a traitor too.

I swear, the Republican Party has sunk so low that there is no coming back.  It's full of grifters, authoritarians, conspiracy theorists, and racists.  I'm ashamed that I ever backed a Republican, but remain committed to the pledge I made in 2016 to never vote for another Republican candidate for any office at all ever again...from the lowest office to the highest.  Even "never-Trump" Republicans won't get my vote.  If you were truly "never Trump" you'd see that the only way forward is to drop the Republican Party.

Tbf Haley never claimed to be a never Trump
She never was I don't know why some people believe that. She endorsed him at the RNC 2020 too.

She criticized Trump in the 2016 primary like almost all republicans, but after he won she aligned to Trump

Along with "patriotism" and "moral values," "balanced budgets" is a term I just don't think Republicans have any credibility to utter ever again. Obviously, you're entitled to keep saying it, but not entitled to be taken seriously when you do. At this point, it's just farcical.
