The only one I can speak on with real confidence would be Jefferson's vote for Biden.

Thomas "Krassenstein" Jefferson.

Almost all of them would vote Biden, with exceptions being few and far between. Nixon and Reagan are obvious, probably Tyler and Polk, but that's about as far as I can see his support going

Biden: Obama, Bush 43, Clinton, Bush 41, Carter, Ford, LBJ, JFK, Eisenhower, Truman, FDR

I'd say Ford is narrowly lean Trump, too.

Ford would definitely not have voted to impeach him, but that doesn’t mean he would have voted for him.

How I think the Presidents of the last century would've voted in 2016 and 2020:

29. Harding: Trump '16, Trump '20
30. Coolidge: Trump '16, Trump '20
31. Hoover: Trump '16, Trump '20
32. F. Roosevelt: Clinton '16, Biden '20
33. Truman: Clinton '16, Biden '20
34. Eisenhower: Clinton '16, Biden '20
35. Kennedy: Clinton '16, Biden '20
36. L. Johnson: Clinton '16, Biden '20
37. Nixon: Trump '16, Trump '20
38. Ford: Trump '16, Biden '20
39. Carter: Clinton '16, Biden '20
40. Reagan: Trump '16 (despite what his kids said on the subject), Biden '20
41. Bush 41: Clinton'16, Biden '20
42. B. Clinton: Clinton '16, Biden '20
43. Bush 43: No vote '16 (which he did), Biden '20 (based on the "savior" remark to Clyburn)
44. Obama: Clinton '16, Biden '20
45. Trump: Trump'16, Trump '20
46. Biden: Clinton '16, Biden '20

I believe almost all of them, even the most conservative ones, would have voted Biden. Respect for the laws and constitution would rank higher than their policy preferences.

Reagan wouldn’t support Trump. But don’t take my word for it. Listen to the people who knew him best: his own children-

https://youtu.be/AFMM8zs-60Y

“You can’t be a Trump Republican and a Reagan Republican. It’s time to choose.
There's nothing really Reaganesque about Trump. I mean, my father was humble. That's not what you find in a Donald Trump, I might say. He wasn't demeaning. He didn't talk down to people. He talked with people, which is the complete opposite of what Donald Trump, in fact, does.” That’s Michael Reagan, who is today still a Republican.

https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/357241-ron-reagan-trump-is-deeply-damaged-human-being

That’s Ron Reagan, a liberal atheist, saying, “ There's really no comparison to my father.”

Patty Davis, his daughter, says:

“ He would plead with Americans to recognize that the caustic, destructive language emanating from our current president is sullying the dream that America once was. He would be appalled and heartbroken at a Congress that refuses to stand up to a President who not only seems ignorant of the Constitution but who also attempts at every turn to dismantle and mock our system of checks and balances.

I think he would remind us that America began as a dream in the minds of men who dared to envision a land that was free of tyranny, with a government designed and structured so that no one branch of government could dominate the others. It was a bold and brave dream. But, he would caution, no government is infallible. Our democracy, because it is founded on the authority of “We the people,” puts the burden of vigilance on all American citizens.”

I’m not surprised the Red avatars here are saying he’d be buddy-buddy with Trump, given how much they (justly) hate Trump’s presidency and (not-so-justly) hate Reagan’s as well (just because he wasn’t on the same side of the political spectrum as them).

You're so delusional. Trump was buddy buddy with Reagan. You don't gotta imagine it. They were both shallow, unqualified, corrupt, racist hacks who deeply harmed the country, probably irreparably. Reagan would have been speaking at the RNC with Bob Dole in '16.

Hillary Clinton & Bill Clinton were buddies with Trump too when his political motives weren't clear. Trump donated to her campaign even. Did they vote for him too?

I don't know Reagan well enough to be sure, but to me it sounds he was unlikely to vote for Trump. HOWEVER, his children & family might've disliked Trump a lot, and state their opinion instead. It's more convincing to say: "Reagan wouldn't" instead of "I wouldn't". The truth is we might never know. But Reagan was a statesman and Trump clearly wasn't. That alone suggests he might not have, like almost any other president in the 20th and 21th century.

I think Reagan - if alive - would've had close contact with the Bush family, and they would probably despise him. I'm not saying Reagan didn't have his faults, but he likely wouldn't. The GOP changed a lot in a few decades. The days of Reagan, Bush, Romney seem gone.

Dole endorsed Trump 2016. I don't know about 2020, but the guy is still alive. Goldwater would have endorsed either Biden or Jorgensen. Back in the 1990s, he endorsed a Democratic candidate for congress in Arizona because he felt it was better for the Republican Party. I would absolutely not have endorsed Trump or voted for him.

True or if they need to raise their profile in order of future prospects of a career. Like Romney and McCain didn't have to. I believe there are many GOP politicians who support him for tactical purposes, but strongly dislike him.

Dole: Endorsed Trump in 2016 and 2020

Perot: Apparently stayed quiet in 2016.

Anderson: Who did he support in 1984-2012?

Goldwater: Hillary and Biden

Stevenson: Hillary and Biden (favored an “intellectual” society)

Smith: Hillary and Biden (favored an internationalist foreign policy, was sympathetic to immigrants, and represented “liberal elites”)

Cox: No idea

Cox almost certainly would have backed Clinton and Biden, given that-in contrast to fellow 1920s Democratic losers Davis and Smith-he was a staunch supporter of Roosevelt (who had been his running mate in 1920) throughout his Presidency. I've also read that Perot, by the time of his death in 2019, was apparently supportive of Trump, although he never made his leanings known publicly. Anderson died in 2017, but I have no idea who he supported in 2016 or in any other election after 1984 (he endorsed Mondale that year). He was still involved in supporting third parties in the years before his death. Dole, of course, is the only living Republican nominee who endorsed Trump.
