Intersting topic:

I choose my dad b/c he is a far-right libertarian and really agrees w/me on almost everything.

My mom is a staunch social conservative but an economic populist and supports the environment

I seem to have voted in this poll once, but I can't remember it. Nor do I remember why I chose my mom - perhaps just a personal sympathy thing. In a political election I'd very probably choose my dad.

My dad is a consevative libertarian, probably a little more right wing than I am, whereas my mom is pretty conservative on most things not related to abortion rights.

My dad is a intelligent backswoodsman, with a down to earth, blue collar feel to him. He is an economic libertarian and a social liberal.

My (step)mom is a very liberal (both socially and economically, though moreso socially) evangelical Lutheran with a classy, friendly businesswoman feel to her.

I have no idea who would win, but it would be a pretty awesome campaign. Smiley

I never really learned my dad's politics - he died right before I turned 10. That said I would guess somewhere in the range of liberal to libertarian, as I do know he smoked pot on occassion.

My mom is very libertarian on social issues, but a bit of a lefty on economics. However she's a bit emotional about it sometimes.

Either would be a fine choice, but I guess I'd gamble on my dad as he'd probably be more level-headed overall.

As I said, I wouldn't vote. But, I see that people are also saying who would win, and in that case my dad probably would.

down quite interesting..  In one post you say your dad listens to hannity every day and voted for Steve Lonegan who might be the most conservative person in all of New Jersey, then in the very next post (though 9 months later) your dad is very libertarian
