Proud to have voted for him. Almost voted for third party but changed my mind in the last couple of days.

This.

But he will win by 6-10 points.

Wardlaw will be the GOP choice again.

I saw the speech Ellison gave following the verdict. As I said in the Chauvin thread, Ellison has been fully vindicated, and I agree that he'll have no problems winning reelection now. Minnesota will continue to remain elusive for Republicans, as I doubt they will win any statewide office there next year.

It’s very possible he could run for Governor in the future.

Agree he's favored, but I wouldn't say he just won reelection. Ellison for sure underperformed in 2018, winning by just 4 pts while Walz and Klobuchar clobbered their GOP opponents.

Yeah this is a huge win for Ellison.  This will be what he's known for from now on rather than his previous scandals.

I don't know what will become of the MN GOP if the DFL clean sweeps all statewide offices again next year. The QAnon side will likely not mind for obvious reasons, but it's got to really sink in with the traditionalists.

They would be beyond the territory of being a national laughingstock. The subject of contention would be whether Republican candidates might actually do better electorally if the state party simply shuts down as an organization and cease all of their activities.

It's especially rough because MN should be a state the GOP can compete. It's not like it's CA or NY where it's pretty much impossible for the GOP to win anything, MN is completely winnable. That makes it a lot worse, imo.

FL Dems. At least MN Reps managed to hold the state senate by 1 seat.

Honestly based on how close it was this might've made the difference.
