The latter (obviously). The state added more than 1.5m net voters between the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections.

By that same metric (i.e. not forms/requests processed), the multiple organizations that Abrams launched likely didn't register more than 100k net voters combined. Could be far less: an exact number is practically impossible to glean.

The data from these groups is always either obscured or skewed via press releases, and there has also been a history with groups like New Georgia Project just processing literally anybody they can find regardless of legitimacy. Such behavior is a big component of what triggered then-SoS Kemp's lawsuit against NGP: it created discrepancies that then allowed for a witch-hunt to begin.


AVR is responsible for like 75% of the transformation over the past four years. The remainder comes from simple demographic turnover and GOP suburbrons souring on Trump/GOP.
