Her position here is probably closer to the bulk of the Senate's leading Democrats (i.e., Warner, Carper, Reed, Leahy, etc.)

It's really sad that vengeance has become the only animating princniple for most Democrats.

This thread is proof that American liberalism is an extremely deficient ideology.

How did she win in 2018, I'll never understand besides just being the incumbent.

Because a lot of voters in California are idiots. Just look at what they have for a governor.

I didn't like De Leon and even with hindsight, I still would still vote for Feinstein because I wouldn't want De Leon to have a lifetime Senate seat. I hope that even if she decides to run for reelection in 2024 (I'd say that's a 50/50 prospect), that a decent Democrat will run against her so I have someone else to vote for.

Says the guy whose party's only principle is "owning the libs."

I don't have as much of an issue with this as some other Ds here. Dianne Feinstein is like a grandmother of the party, someone with a little bit of a softer tone. If CA didn't like that they could've voted her out in 2018 but they didn't. I do think she needs to retire though, not because of her ideology, but because she is simply too old and needs to give someone else a chance.

Honestly what was the point of saying this? I guess she’d be a hypocrite if she was against it (even though she would be right to be against it since there was no evidence that irregularities turned the election to Biden), but really what was the point?

As someone who once supported her and has spent a lot of time defending her, she needs to step aside in 2024 and possibly even sooner.

She's not wrong. If the mere act of objecting makes someone like Blackburn a terrorist, then Barbara Lee is a terrorist as well. And that's ridiculous.

Those like Hawley, Boebert, and Brooks are a different story. And she's not defending them.

I definitely don't want her to step aside before 2024...I really don't want to give Newsom ANOTHER Senate seat.
