This will be the first inauguration I can watch live since Obama's 2009 inauguration. 2012 I was on a long weekend trip up to the mountains with my family and we watched it later in the day. 2017 I took a double shift at work so I wouldn't force myself to watch Trump out of some perverse sense of civic duty.

Now that I think about it i don't think I ever watched an inauguration live.

I have done the last 3 elections live, although 20 much less than 16 and 12 in the mindset of "ill know by tomorrow morning so its not that important to watch live" not knowing what was to come. In fact for nearly the first 48 hours, so half the wait, I sincerely thought trump would somehow pull through and get a scrape through majority

My college canceled classes, so I'll be able to watch the inauguration live for the first time ever! I'm so excited to have an adult in the White House again.
