Well it appears that Suga's honeymoon was as brief as it was spectacular.

Morning Consulting says that Suga has the lowest rating of all the world leaders it is polling.

Easy to forget now that he had sky-high ratings to begin with.

Something of a contrast here with the recent Euro 2020 football event, there is little doubt it led to a spike in virus cases and infections but the general consensus still seems to be that it was worth it.

Over-70s are the most pro-LDP, but 60-70 year olds the most anti? How does that work exactly??

Oh boy, this is looking increasingly awful.

Ichirō Ozawa losing after fifty two years counts as a silver lining even if it's an LDP gain. Wicked, evil man.

Lots of dirty old bastards got stomped this election, both from the LDP and opposition. It does feel like a "generational change" election more than a "punish LDP" one.

So this election might not be as bad as some think?

We have overall vote percentages now

LDP: 48.05% (+0.23)
CDP: 29.99% (+21.46)
Ishin:  8.35% (+5.17)
JCP:    4.61% (-4.41)
DPP:    2.17%
KP:      1.52% (+0.02)
SDP:    0.54% (-0.63)
RS:      0.43%

Proportional Vote

LDP:   34.66% (+1.38)
CDP:   20%     (+0.12)
Ishin:  14.01% (+7.94)
KP:     12.38% (-0.13)
JCP:     7.25% (-0.65)
DPP:    4.51% (+4.51)
RS:      3.86% (+3.86)

Is that the lowest ever for the JCP?
