This is historically a bellwether county for WI, at least on the presidential level, but it maintained its status unlike many other rural bellwethers. It voted for Walker in 2018, too. Is it because of tourism?

It is a fairly educated county - of all 50 counties in WI, it ranks 6th.

It’s a a very touristy place, with lots of holiday homes. Such areas within the Midwest (and nationwide) swung to Biden; see Cook County, MN and Leelanau County, MI.

Probably COVID-19 played a big role.  Its quite touristy with many well to do having second homes and with lots of well to do working from home, many probably re-located there.  Same reason Leelanau County, Michigan flipped despite traditionally being a Republican county.

I can't believe that nobody mentioned that it has one the oldest populations by age in Wisconsin....

Over 37% of the TOTAL Population is 60+ / Years...

Meaning what % of Voters are retirees or retiree families, where the 'Rona might well be a potential Death Sentence Huh

To be fair, exit polls suggested that over-65s only swung modestly towards Biden (about 3 points), so other factors in Door were probably more salient.
