Abbott gets re-elected in 2022 and maybe again in 2026 if he wants to. If not then he probably retires.

He might run for president in 2024.

states I care about:

Parson: Retirement (technically could run in 2024, but has said on multiple occasions that he will not)

Kelly: Runs for reelection and then probably retires because of her age (she'd be 76 at the end of her second term). Unfortunate, as she'd probably be a strong Senate candidate if trends in Kansas continue.

Cox: Runs for reelection, potentially more than once, and wins easily. He might eventually run for something else, or he might sit on the governorship forever. It doesn't really matter. He can have any office he wants in Utah.

and Kentucky would probably barely trend to the left too, if at all :/ I was shook that McConnell won by as much as he did, and now I'm convinced that KY during a presidential year will never be less than a 60-40 point margin for the GOP. Fun fact: In January 2017, Democrats outnumbered Republicans 51%-40.7%; In November 2019 (KY Governors race) Democrats outnumbered Republicans 48.7%-42.5%; According to the KY registration statistics, which seem to have some possible errors, Democrats now out register Republicans just 46.7%-44.14%. Let us hope Andy makes it over the finish line in 2023 before he talks ab potential VP ambitions.

Holcomb-retirement unless he can get an appointment to the Senate due to vacancy or a D.C. bureaucrat job for a Republican president

Hogan: 2024 presidential bid gets a ton of media hype but falls flat when the primaries begin, becomes a K Street ghoul to push for a policy agenda that there's no real appetite for anymore

Is it even possible to draw one?

Yeah it’s pretty easy to draw a tossup district north of New Orleans and you can get it to include Bel Edwards’ hometown of Amite.

Pritzker: Jail.

This is Illinois after all, pretty sure Quinn's the only recent one not go there.

Selected governors:

Tony Evers (D-WI): Narrowly loses re-election in 2022 and retires (I hope I’m wrong).
J.B. Pritzker (D-IL): Gets re-elected in 2022, retires after 2026, and becomes a Bloomberg-like figure as he throws money around at various political and philanthropic causes in his old age.
Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI): Gets re-elected in 2022 by a modest margin, then runs for POTUS in 2028.
Mike DeWine (R-OH): Staves off a primary challenge in 2022, gets re-elected, then retires after 2026.
Tom Wolf (D-PA): Declines to run for Senate in 2022, retires.
Andrew Cuomo (D-NY): Survives various scandals and wins re-election in 2022 and 2026, finally retiring after 2030.
Charlie Baker (R-MA): Doesn’t seek a third term and terms out after 2022.  Changes his party affiliation to Independent and gets an ambassadorship in a future GOP or Dem administration.
Larry Hogan: (R-MD): Terms out after 2022, runs for POTUS in 2024 and goes absolutely nowhere.
Greg Abbott (R-TX): Gets re-elected in 2022, runs for POTUS in 2024 but does not get the nomination.
Doug Ducey (R-AZ): Terms out after 2022 and becomes politically irrelevant.
Ron DeSantis (R-FL): Gets re-elected in 2022 and runs for POTUS in 2024.
Gavin Newsom (D-CA): Survives a recall attempt, wins reelection in 2022, terms out in 2026, runs for POTUS in 2028 and goes nowhere due to baggage accumulated as Governor.
Jay Inslee (D-WA): Retires after 2024, helps found some environmentally-oriented nonprofit org.
Andy Beshear (D-KY) and Laura Kelly (D-KS) both lose re-election in 2023 and 2022, respectively.  I can see Beshear getting a cabinet position at some point.
John Bel Edwards (D-LA): Terms out in 2023 and becomes a TV pundit on one of the networks.
Brian Kemp (R-GA): Survives a nasty primary and loses to Stacey Abrams in 2022.
Phil Scott (R-VT): Gets re-elected in 2022, runs for open Senate seat to replace the retiring Bernie Sanders and loses.  Drops his GOP affiliation and retires.

Polis is a disgusting, dangerous man who wants to only further introduce the Reagan cult into America. So probably a future president given this country.

Peters might also retire in 2026. Whitmer would be a really good replacement for him.
